About Cytoscape

Cytoscape requires Java Web Start.

Cytoscape is an open source bioinformatics software platform for visualizing molecular interaction networks and integrating these interactions with gene expression profiles and other state data. The Cytoscape project is an ongoing collaboration among the Institute for Systems Biology, the University of California at San Diego, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Institut Pasteur.
Further information about Cytoscape is available at www.cytoscape.org. We suggest that you read the tutorial.

How to use Cytoscape:
You can choose to use a network that we have created as an example, or to use those genes, but filter the interaction source. You can also input your own list of human LocusLink IDs to create your own network. Please read the T1DBase Cytoscape Tutorial for information on what is included in the networks and for hints on how to explore them. You may click on the ? at any time for more information about a particular input field.
